We visited urgent care three days in a row last weekend! WHAT DO WE WIN?!!?
Maggie was there for strep throat on Friday. Zach was there for strep butt on Saturday. (It’s a thing. Maggie had it when she was two. Our children are weird.) Then Audrey and I headed in on Sunday morning because we both had achy scratchy throats and I wanted to catch things before they got out of hand. I was SURE we were going to be banned from Easter celebrations while everyone else had fun, and I felt like the day was already ruined because we missed church and I was so excited to finally get us all to CHURCH. BOO. But! Our cultures were negative so we were given the ALL CLEAR being around people. I *did* end up with a bit of a cold the last couple of days, but not terrible and NOT strep. So THUMBS UP.
But before our trip to urgent care Easter morning, the kids had fun finding their baskets! Zach had no clue what was happening, but he was happy about the whole thing anyway. He just likes to be involved in whatever his sisters are doing because it MUST be awesome.
After Audrey and I got home from urgent care, it was a MAD DASH to get everyone dressed and cleaned up and packed and out the door. I totally forgot to find an Easter outfit for Zach until, like, Thursday, and Audrey refused to wear her white dress shoes so she wore her pink flip flops, but whatever. This is real life. They looked adorable anyway.
We had lunch at my parents’ house with my sister and her family (Zach fell asleep in his chair so I guess technically HE didn’t have lunch.) The kids hunted for eggs in the yard and chased bubbles and enjoyed the amazing weather. AMAZING weather!
Then it was off to Dan’s grandma’s house for Easter dinner and more! egg! hunts!
It was a good day. Antibiotics aside. heh.
