Audrey is rapidly approaching three-and-a-half, by FAR my least favorite age with Maggie. THREENAGERS. Such big feelings! Such terrible communication skills! Audrey is definitely living up to the age so far, stubborn and meltdown-y and emotional and all the things that come with age three. But she is also HILARIOUS and loves making people laugh and being a little jokester. I’m pretty sure she knows that if she DIDN’T charm the pants off of us every day? We would have sold her cute little butt to the circus by now.
She was smiling at me so I poked the dimples on her cheeks and said ‘doot!’ each time. ‘Doot! Doot!’ *poke poke* She smiled at me again and said “Mommy, do you see my doots??”
She was looking for something to do one day and I suggested she go upstairs and play Barbies or Polly Pockets. “You can play however you want because Maggie’s not here to boss you around!” (I was totally selling it. Also, Maggie’s a Bossypants.)
Later that day, I caught Audrey trying to play with one of Maggie’s purses and I told her to put it away, it wasn’t hers. “But Mommy, Maggie’s not here to boss me around!”
Headed upstairs for a bath while Zach was in bed. “Audrey, quiet feet on the stairs, please! Let’s whisper!” “*whispering* Okay, Mommy! Let’s do this thing!”
Three current favorite words/phrases: actually, definitely, “If you say so, Mommy.” (and that’s not being said in a NICE WAY, JUST FYI.)
Every morning, her job is to bring her pullup from overnight down to the garbage. One morning, she was carrying it in one hand, all wrapped up like a little baggie. She walked into the kitchen holding it up and said “Who wants a bag of tweats???!”
I… I don’t even know. ???!! EW.
This morning she came down and said to Dan, “I could totally eat bweakfast wight now.”
She loves Zachary. LOVES. She will randomly tell me “Mommy, Zachy is a cutie-pa-tootie!” and she tackle-hugs him all the time. If I tell her I love her, she says “I love Zachary!”
