my own wearable billboard

I was offered a t-shirt to review for this post. But my opinions are my own, and I would never recommend anything I wouldn’t purchase with my own money.

I’ve had a blog for… many years. Since LAST CENTURY, no joke. This particular blog is one that I settled into in 2005 and even though the dust has collected in the corners a few times, Jayesel has stood the test of time so far. I’ve written about my goofball kids. I’ve bared my soul and talked about my fears and doubts and shared sad news. I’ve had fun contest giveaways and photo posts and posts about the hilarious awesome people I follow on Twitter. But you know what I didn’t have?

Call me dorky, call me narcissistic. (or hey, call me a blogger! Because let’s be honest, those are all kiiinda similar. heh) When Allied Shirts offered me a free custom tshirt to try, it took me about 2 minutes to decide on what I wanted to print on it.

That’s me! On a shirt! Dan laughed at me, but whatever. He’s jealous.

I chose a ladies short sleeve budget Gildan tee, and it is super comfy. Not too thick, not too thin, and not scratchy at all. The purple I chose for the shirt is exactly as it looked online. PURPLE! The printing for my logo looks crisp and clear. Excellent.

The online tool they have for designing custom shirts is EXTREMELY easy to use. It took me about 5 minutes to upload my graphic, choose a size and color, place the graphic on the shirt, and complete my order. I created my own graphic on my computer because I had one in mind and mostly ready to go, but they also have an extensive art library that can be used if you don’t have something already handy. (I almost made a shirt with a wine glass on it that said something about Mama needing a drink because HELLO SOME DAYS I DO.)

I probably would be the only one ever to wear a Jayesel blog shirt, and that’s okay. But if I ever had a need for a large order of custom-designed t-shirts for an event or a gathering? Allied Shirts is on my list for sure.

Allied Shirts has also given me a discount code to share with all of you! BLOG30OFF4U will get you 30% off + Free Shipping. To use it, just go to and enter the code, then design your shirt (or shirts) from there.
