a very soggy Halloween

Audrey made it to two houses when the wind almost knocked her over for the fifth time and she melted into a puddle of tears and demanded to be taken home. Dan pushed Zach in the stroller in the rain for about 10 minutes before bringing him back to the dry house. Maggie and I braved the rain and wind for about 45 minutes and managed to get at least some trick or treat fun in before deciding that we were DONE.

But at least their costumes were pretty awesome.

Maggie got an exclusive photo shoot (ha) because we had some time after school to get her costume ready before picking up Audrey and Zach from daycare. She got into character.

She was in heaven with the makeup part of this costume. It made her LIFE.

In a way, Halloween was kind of a bust because of the lame-o weather for Trick or Treat, but I think I was the only one really bummed about it. Audrey was content to hand out candy with Dan’s mom and Maggie seemed fine with the pile of candy we collected. And Zach really just wanted to chew on the bag of Doritos he stole from Maggie’s candy bag. So! Yay Halloween!

I was kind of bummed out about the weather too! We made it about 40 minutes and to only 8 houses (2year olds walk SO SLOW!)

I guess in this part of the country, we have to be prepared for any kind of weather at the end of October, lol… but it looks like you guys made the best of it! The kids all looked REALLY cute! And you did a fabulous job with Maggie’s makeup–love the shots where she’s in character. :)
