Christmas! Pie! Ham! Presents! Cute Poofy Red Dresses!

Even though our Christmas was sandwiched in between a week-long bout of the stomach flu for all of us, one after the other, and then four good, old-fashioned head colds, we still managed to have a pretty awesome day.

Christmas Eve was a low-key affair at my sister’s in-laws’ house. It involved yummy food and cute pajamas for the girls.

Christmas morning was… well, if you’ve ever spent Christmas morning with two little girls, you can imagine.

Santa was here! Now he's going to bed because OMG SO TIRED.

Then we headed to my parents’ house for a delicious lunch of homemade chicken noodle soup and ham sandwiches. You guys: it’s the best.

There was also pie.

Pecan pie yessssss

(Audrey had peanut butter and jelly. She’s fancy.)

And there were… more presents, obviously. Our girls are so spoiled.

And then! It was off to Christmas #3 with Dan’s family!

Then we all came home and crashed and pretty much haven’t left the house since Tuesday night. Audrey had a fever at bedtime Christmas night, and her cough got worse by morning, but a trip to the pediatrician on Wednesday confirmed it was just a cold, nothing to really worry about. So lots of naps and couch time for everyone! It hasn’t been the fun-filled Christmas break we were all hoping for (an afternoon movie outing! a trip to the Children’s Museium!) but I’m definitely thankful that we at least had a break from the germs long enough to at least enjoy our holiday plans with our families.

    Those dresses!

Aside from the pestilence, it sounds like a nice Christmas. Holidays with little kids really are the best ever, aren’t they?

Audrey’s FACE in that last picture! Oh, I’m DYING. Yes, Audrey, we have all felt that way.

You got such great shots of them opening gifts. LOVE.

For whatever reason, she was pinching her cheeks and saying “I SO CHUBBY!” and making everyone laugh. She’s kind of a jokester!
