Breaking my blogging silence for something fun!
My girls- especially Maggie- tend toward the girly side of things. I’ve always found it amusing that Maggie loves all things frilly and fancy and is obsessed with shoes, because while I do wear makeup daily and occasionally wear jewelry, I am not too fussy with things like that. In fact, Maggie now officially knows more at age five about applying makeup than I do from watching YouTube makeup tutorials. Mind you, she has never actually PUT the makeup on, but she has suggested that I “try a smokey eye, Mom” and then I fell over because SERIOUSLY, I don’t even know how to do that. But I bet she could do it for me if I asked.
And now that Audrey is getting a little older, she’s catching on. She asks for a ponytail almost every day and likes to wear Maggie’s cowgirl boots around the house. We are destined for another 15+ years of glitter and lace and pink in this house (more if Baby #3 is another girl OH LORD HELP US!) and I’m mostly okay with it, because it’s pretty darn fun dressing them up.
So when I was given a chance to try some cute accessories from Girls Crochet Headbands, I was so excited! Mostly because I knew Maggie’s head would likely explode when she saw the package of bows and headbands. First of all, the package was adorable.
The items we received are listed below- THE ROMPER, YOU GUYS. So stinking cute.
I wrestled Audrey into the romper and they each picked out the hair accessory they wanted, then we had a photoshoot of sorts (as formal as you can do with a crazy two year old!)
This stuff is not only super cute, but it feels very well-made. We’ve purchased enough cheap-o hair stuff from the big stores around here to know what will break easily and what will last, and I’m willing to bet these are hanging around our house for a while.
And of course I’m not gonna show you all these adorable things without having something in the deal for YOU! That would just be mean. Follow the instructions below to enter the giveaway, and a winner will be selected from the entries at random and will receive a $30 gift certificate to Girls Crochet Headbands. Entries will be accepted until October 26, 2012 and a winner will be chosen that day!
