I feel like I’m constantly playing catch up these days, but whatever. LIFE, MAN. We survived the first week of kindergarten (Maggie did great! I never did get a nap out of her! She’s a trooper.) and then had a three-day weekend in which we… didn’t do much, actually. We spent some time with Dan’s family, Dan cleaned out my car for me (yay!) and turned Audrey’s carseat forward-facing, FINALLY. But mostly we just hung around the house and the girls played and argued and giggled and ate snacks. And I got caught up on some picture downloading and editing from weeks ago.
It was relaxing and exhausting all at the same time.
Last night, Dan came up with what was probably the most profound explanation of life with a (almost) two year old I’ve ever heard. Basically, in the span of five minutes with a two year old, this is what you’ll go through:
You’re so cute.
What do you need?
Here let me help you.
Stop doing that.
OMG BE QUIET.
What’s that smell?
Then you add in a big sister and… well… !!!!!!
