just a Thursday
My lovely friend Keli inspired me to get my camera out today. I have been less-than-motivated to take pictures lately, mostly because OMGTHEBUSY! and a lot of days I’m just lucky to snap a few shots on my cellphone. But she posted some gorgeous photos of her girls earlier this week so I decided to follow the girls around for a bit today with my camera. Thursdays are the only day through the week when we are HOME! ALL DAY! HOORAY! No work! No daycare! No preschool! No errands!
It was fun. And it felt really good to take pictures.
(Any other moms feel like ALL YOU DO IS FEED PEOPLE ALL THE LIVELONG DAY???! heh)

1) I love this. Following them around for a day is so fun to look back on later. (You two are inspiring me to do it again!)
2) Those giant blocks look like a ton of fun!
3) The spout ponytail kills me with the cute. Beyond adorable.
4) We had the same comforter set – be careful when you wash it, ours pilled and got really lumpy (maybe the cycle wasn’t gentle enough, I don’t know).

ooh good to know about the comforter set. I have yet to find one that DOESN’T get lumpy from washing, hmph. Though our front-loader isn’t quite as bad as our old washing machine, maybe because there’s more room?
And the blocks are SO MUCH fun, Audrey loves them (from Santa!) We found them at Costco! They’re foam so when used as weapons, they aren’t too damaging. LOL
awww, love this!! they are so so cute playing together :) and Audrey walking around holding her radio? SO BIG TIME!! wow.

oh she’s fancy and important, you know. ha
Aw, love it. Your girls are so cute. And yes, I do feel like I spend all day feeding people. What is up with that anyway!?!?!
And Costco you say for those blocks? I need to get a set… hmm….
These pictures make my ovaries squeal a bit. I have been trying to tell myself that one child is enough. Redoing newborn and infant stage is not something I want. Then I look at your girls and think how much fun it would be for Addie to have a younger sibling to goof around with and my ovaries start doing this thing and then I start thinking well maybe another wouldn’t be so bad. . . Must not have these thoughts!

Oh, it’s definitely not easy in the early weeks/months, but you really do fall naturally back into the newborn stuff- that part is actually not bad! It’s the juggling 2 humans that gets tricky ;) But the hard days are so worth it, I’m so so happy that my girls have each other! (Sorry… does that… not help? LOL)
I have moments like that about a third… fewer and far between than I did about having a second though :)
yes. my kids eat veggie straws all.damn.day *crunch*

I could look at pictures of your girls all day long. I told Keli that I might do this this weekend.
And! I’ve never tried giving Ezra or Iris veggie straws. I am on that like white on rice.

They’re VEGGIES! That I give to my KIDS! So I’m like, MOTHER OF THE YEAR, or something, right? :)

Love these pictures!! Reminds me that I need to take more pictures in these winter months… I always have my camera around in the summer and fall, but when we’re stuck indoors I don’t think about it as often.

Same thing here- winter when we’re stuck inside, I don’t really think of it and I’m not sure why?? I guess because playing inside doesn’t feel like An Event or something… heh. I’m trying to be better about it! I’ve only taken a few pictures in 2012 so far, TRAVESTY! :)
The little eyeball poking out of the box!! I LOVE!!

CREEPY! ha
I just bought some veggie chips and have my fingers crossed that Anna likes them because that would actually be an improvement.
Cute pictures! How could you not want a third? ;)
