Any child of the 80s remembers LEGOS. I LOVED LEGOS. I still do. A few years ago, I spent like 4 hours on Christmas Day helping Dan’s cousin put together a LEGO airplane. Which he promptly “crashed”. And I maybe wanted to cry.
The point is, LEGOS are cool. And I’m so happy that Maggie enjoys them as much as I did when I was young. My mom saved our old school bin of teeny-tiny blocks and Maggie plays with them anytime we go to Grandma’s house. The big plastic green “grass” is her base, and she goes nuts building houses and castles and bridges. I love watching her use Imagination while she plays- she has a GREAT imagination, and LEGOS really bring that out.
Which is why when I heard that LEGO KidsFest was coming to Pittsburgh in June, AND I was offered a chance to host a giveaway on my blog? YOU BET I SAID YES.
A description of the event:
This hands-on, educational, all-ages LEGO extravaganza features billions of LEGO bricks – not to mention tons of construction zones, dozens of life-sized LEGO models and displays, LEGO Universe and LEGO Games, group builds such as Creation Nation and the Mystery Mural, live LEGO Master Builders, and so much more – in over 125,000 square feet of space.
LEGO KidsFest is being held June 17-19 at David L. Lawrence Convention Center. And you can win tickets! Stay tuned for details in upcoming weeks! (Maybe subscribe to my blog so you won’t miss it!)
Until then, dig out your bin of retro LEGOS and build something cool.
