You Capture: Vehicles
This is a 1952 MG Midget. It was given to Dan by his grandmother (on his mom’s side) when he was a kid, and it was in storage for years. When we bought our first house, it migrated to our garage (and then to our garage again when we moved last year).
It doesn’t run, but apparently it did when it was put into storage. So the thinking is that it just needs a ‘tune-up’, a new battery, cleaned up (and a paint job) and it will be restored.
Theoretically.
Dan was going to do it himself. Restore the car to its former glory. However… he’s realizing that a) he’s not a ‘Car Guy’ and b) he doesn’t have the time to learn to be a ‘Car Guy’. And really, this car is so unique and so cool that it really deserves to be fixed up and enjoyed by someone who would appreciate it.
(How cool is that door handle?)
So, we’re selling it. Or rather, Dan is selling it. Soon, we hope. We’re not entirely sure what it’s worth, but we have a general idea. It’s just a matter of finding a buyer who wants it. It’s a win-win, really: a Car Person gets a fantastic project, and we get some cash to… build a deck and patio on our house, perhaps?
In the meantime, it hangs out in our garage and I take pictures of it :)

Well, it’s worth it for the photos, isn’t it? Great shots!
I love antique cars. Great shots, you should add a distance shot of the whole car!

Yeah well, that wouldn’t be a particularly nice picture, given all the CRAP in our garage that surrounds the car ;) LOL
You could call the American Pickers guys :)
WOW! Gorgeous shots!
