Tomorrow morning, my mom is picking Maggie up and taking her back to their house. FOR THE WHOLE, ENTIRE DAY. My plan is to go to yoga in the morning, then come home and start sanding and priming the walls in our bathroom to prep it for painting. If I get that done early enough, I’ll probably take a nap or read a book or play on the internet or perhaps stare at the wall. Then we’re going to go out to dinner, and Dan is going to Poker Night at my brother-in-laws and I’m going to see a movie with my sister and her friend. And my mom will be here at our house, getting Maggie settled into bed (we hope.)
We tried doing this little plan last weekend, but Pukefest Friday ended that pretty quickly. So we’re trying again and so far, it’s a go! I’m very excited. Which makes me feel a little bit guilty, because you know what? I don’t really feel guilty. Not that I want to leave my kid for days on end, but she really does love playing at Grandma’s house and she probably won’t even notice we’re gone. We just need a break to catch up on things and take a breather after the past few weeks of The Sick, and I really need to get moving on this bathroom repainting.
Wow this post is very non-flowing and choppy and it’s probably because I’m so tired. So off I go to watch a movie downstairs, possibly scrapbook, and most likely fall asleep on the couch.
I love the weekend.
