the cure for a NaBloPoMo hangover

So NaBloPoMo is officially over. For the third year in a row, I posted every day in November. Whoopdee-doo and all that jazz.

Now that it’s over, what will I do for an encore? hm… I know! Another blog design contest!

The same rules apply:

  • Leave a comment on this post in response to the question listed below. One entry per person, please.
  • I’ll pick a random winner using either a Random Number Generator or let Maggie pull a number from a hat. I haven’t decided on the method yet.
  • The winner gets:
    – a custom designed WordPress blog, courtesy of yours truly (if you’re on Blogger or Typepad, we can talk about options if you win!)
    – free hosting for life and a free domain name for 1 year, if you need it

So go for it! Even if you don’t have a blog yet, you could totally start one if you win. JP was the big winner last time, you can check out her new blog at PomJob.com.

Comments will be open until Thursday night at 9pm (EST). Just answer this question: What is one item on your current wishlist (Christmas or otherwise)?

Fun contest =) One item on my wish list is a french press travel mug. I have it in my head that I’ll start bringing my coffee to work if I have one.

Uh, what a neat idea! And who WOULDN’T want a custom designed blog design from jaysel??? ;)

The biggest wish on my Christmas wishlist is to go home and see my family and my new niece Greta. I am desperately longing for some family time and it’s so hard to be so far away from them for the rest of the year :(
I’ll be leaving in two weeks! Wooho!

Fun! One of the things I want – a Roomba. And I just ordered it which I guess means it isn’t on my wish list anymore… but technically it should be since it’s a Christmas present from my mom. She just couldn’t figure out how to order it online. But I love her anyway.

I would die of complete happiness if I won. I love, love your designs. If I won it would be like a b-day present and Christmas present all wrapped into one, as my birthday falls three days before Christmas.

Number 1 thing. A camera. I’m not too sure if I shall be receiving this, but I want it, because the pink camera Jon bought me in October SUCKS and I hate it with a firey passion.

Hmm Well, all I had on my wish list was a dutch oven, which I know I’m getting. So I guess other than that, is to lose some weight and I’m working on it. :)

Hi! I stumbled across your site awhile ago and have been lurking so I figured it was time to say hello! My name is Rebecca, I’m 25 and from California!

For Christmas I would love to get an acoustic guitar and some lessons. I kind of regret choosing the FLUTE as my instrument of choice in sixth grade. I wish I had chosen the guitar – I think I’d probably be a rock star by now :)

One awesome giveaway, Jen! Good luck to everyone!

Um, I would have to start blogging if I won, but I’ve been thinking about starting anyways, so we’ll see.

Either a super-warm beach vacation in February… with a nanny! :) Or else a boob job! Hey, it’s a wish list- they can both be on it! :)

My main wishlist item is new carpet in my living room. I know I’m not getting it though. I mean, how can I possible get new carpet when the Christmas tree will be sitting on top of the old?

I would love a design. I just restarted blogging, maybe this would motivate me to continue.

Just one? That’s tough. I just wrote about one on my blog. Hmm. I don’t even have a Christmas list for myself yet. I’ll go with the non-realistic wish:

I wish to travel to Ireland. Family can be included.

Whew. That was hard. I deserve to win! :)

I really want a new lens for my camera. I broke my regular lens (smart, I know) and I’ve been stuck with my telephoto for months. I can’t take inside pictures well at all!

Oh, I love contests! I’ll even make a comment for one…which I NEVER do. Heh.

Lets see, if I could have like an Amazon gift card, for $50 or $500 or something so I could buy books I’d be happy. Since getting a Kindle for my birthday I’ve been spending way too much on books. Nice if someone else footed the bill.

One thing on my wishlist is one of those cool car battery chargers that you can keep in your trunk! My car battery has died twice in the past week! So far I’ve been lucky… the first time, Diana was able to come give me a jump, and the second time, a security guard at my school charged my battery. But I hate having to depend on other people!

Honestly, my biggest Christmas wish-list item this year is Tony Horton’s 10 minute Trainer DVDs (beachbody.com). I love exercising but I don’t have the time anymore. I am pretty sure (98%) that I could give myself 10 minutes a day… just 10 minutes.. really :)

What a great gesture Jen! Congrats on Napblopomo.. I couldn’t keep up :)

#1 on my list is a vacation away with just me and my husband. Ah. Just thinking about it makes me happy.

#2 is a new computer… one that hasn’t had water spilled on it so that all of it’s keys work and the power cord keeps it charged all the time. Apple, I love and hate you all at once.

That, or couple pairs of nice, warm, wool socks. It’s cold in this office!

I really want a Wii, but that is on my fantasy Christmas list so I will probably just get a giftcard to Target.

And I’m excited to join in this contest because I need serious help. My blog looks like it was designed by that guy the movie Beautiful Mind was about.

I was just joking with someone about how my wishlist this year is SO BORING. Half of it comes from the Container Store. The one fun thing I want is a new perfume. I’ve always used Bath & Body Works body splashes, but at twenty-four, I think I can graduate to a scent that isn’t being used by middle schoolers, right? ;) I’m hoping for Escada. I smelled it in a Sephora and loved it!

Well, I know my husband already ordered the item on my wishlist – it’s a Silhouette digital cutter machine. It’s used for scrapbooking, so you can cut out fonts and other designs you can create on your computer! It’s so nerdy, but I’m excited. :) haha.
