EN. KAY. OH. TEE. BEE.

It’s not often you get to go back to when you were ten years old and right a wrong. In fact, I’d say most people never get the chance to fix something they may regret about their past. I am one lucky girl: last night, I had the opportunity to do just that.

I saw The New Kids On The Block in concert. OH YEAH BABY.

very very into it

It was the most ridiculous, hilarious, fun thing I have done in a long time. And I got to go with some awesome girls and we had a freaking BLAST (Melissa, I so so so missed you during the show! Next year?!! LOL!) We left with ears ringing, throats sore (SO. MUCH. SCREAMING.) and giddy with excitement from it all. I’m pretty sure there was nobody there younger than 25 or older than 35- lots of 20/30ish ladies reliving their youth and it was just insane.

Today, I am exhausted. (stupid air mattress that deflated in the middle of the night! grr) I spent my first night away from home since Maggie was born, and guess what? THE SKY DID NOT FALL IN. I sure missed my baby girl though.

peek a boo!

Joey and Jordan are cute, but they’re no match for her.

  • That is hilarious! Unfortunately, I am in the “over 35″ crowd so the New Kids were too young for me. But sounds like fun! I love that kind of stuff.

Maggie is such a cutie! And I had to laugh because I think I just bought that same pink jacket for one of my little ones recently…Target?

  • Can I just say… waaaahhhh!!! :( :( :( I’m sooo sad I missed out on all the fun! I was pouting all evening. We only stayed at my sister’s party for about an hour because it was getting late for Oliver, then we went to my parents’ house to put him to bed and listen to my dad’s football game on the radio. Not nearly as cool as seeing NKOTB with you guys. :( I guess now I’ll have to add this to my list of “Things To Do Before I Turn FORTY,” lol…

I’m glad the rest of you had a great time though! I’m going to watch the videos right now! :D

  • I was there too, and it was so much fun. I can’t believe how LOUD it was, I don’t think people stopped screaming the entire time. I’m glad you had a good time too!

  • OH EM GEE, you NEVER wear a shirt OF the band you’re seeing!! *forehead slap*
Hehe okay okay – I didn’t get to see them back then, either. I remember they came here, and I didn’t get to go. Damnit!
But you’re right – Maggie is cute – and now I feel bad because I spent 2 nights away from the son when he was 6 months old and frankly didn’t really have a problem with it, lol ;)

No not ridiculous that you went. Not ridiculous at all…I’ve been channeling my inner 15 year old by getting addicted to the Twilight series and counting down the days until the movie….which, have you read it yet? It looks like you all had so so so much fun. :)

@Laura: Oh I’d say about 90% of everyone there had on an old NKOTB shirt!! Some of them were definitely Old School, it was awesome!

I was okay with being away from Maggie for a night- I was mostly worried about Dan ;) hehe

  • That is so cool that you got to go!! I can’t believe they’re back! I’ve been listening to them on the radio and I think I might go out a buy their new cd. I’m excited!

  • You might be a dork, but I’m still jealous. ;-)

  • (sigh) I am STILL swooning over the NKOTB concert. I saw them Saturday in IL and once they finished their piano bit (which was only mere rows from us!!!!) they had to go thru the walkway which was right behind our seats — so we GOT TO TOUCH THEM AS THEY WALKED BY!!!!!!!!! O.M.G!!!!!!!!!!!

@Sarah: aw MAN! I was so jealous of the people by the piano, because they probably never thought when they got their tickets that they’d be that close to them! Lucky you!!! :) :)

  • Wow, I have to de-lurk here. I found your blog a while ago (click, click, click, you know) but this post totally “spoke” to me. I went to see EN.KAY.OH.TEE.BEE as well last week and it was A.W.E.S.O.M.E… best concert in a long time and so many memories!! :)

P.S. My blog is down right now, otherwise you could just click and see who I am… but you might want to check back later ;)

  • I’m getting so excited! I’ll be at the concert in Atlanta in less than 2 weeks! Woohoo!! I’m going with my sister and we’re going to have a blast, go crazy, and lose our voice. It’s going to rock.
