river rats
We spent today on Dan’s parents’ boat (can I just say: I love that my in-laws have a boat now? SWEEEEET.) cruising down the Allegheny River toward downtown Pittsburgh, and hanging out at The Point in the gorgeous weather. We had a great time, and Maggie had fun too, I think. I say ‘I think’ because she spent the whole ride from the marina to The Point dazed out on Great-grandma Fern’s lap, but she wasn’t crying and seemed pretty content (though I’m not sure she was a big fan of the life-vest)
She definitely loved when we stopped and walked around The Point for a while. She very much likes to people-watch.
One surprise of the day: Maggie has a fifth tooth. She was acting a little bit fussy (probably just worn out from the day) but she had been chewing on anything she could get her hands on, so when she was chilling on my lap on the way back to the marina, I dug around in her mouth a bit and then I saw it- a brand-new tooth poking through her top gums! It’s in pretty far too- we had no idea it was even starting, let alone through already. This was the first uneventful tooth to come in… let’s hope that trend continues!
Now excuse me while I crash into my bed. I AM SO EXHAUSTED. Being a boat person is hard.

What a perfect day you had for it!
Also, I want a boat.
Yesterday was exhausting for us as well, but that’s because we made the one hour drive to Philadelphia and spent six and a half hours at the zoo, then had dinner, and then had to drive our tired selves back home. :P
Congrats on the fifth tooth! Poor munchkin; I always feel so bad for them when they’re teething. :(

Hey! We went boating this weekend too! It was AMAZING…there are a few crazy videos over at my place. But we left the baby behind. Something about going out on the ocean and taking a 9 month old didn’t sit well with me. He’ll have to wait until later this summer when we go to my parents & go out on the lake! Lakes & rivers seem so much more mellow!
Teething is hard & being a boat person IS hard…but it’s worth it!
Yay for in-laws with boats! :0)

Awesome! I love boats… I wish I knew someone who had one so I could go out on the river too! Maggie is a lucky baby!

Oh yay for the relatively painless tooth! An yay for cute pictures and a trip on a boat :) I love that first one. Sounds like a nice time!
