First, thank you to everyone who ducked out from behind their keyboards to delurk! I loved reading comments from people I’d never heard from before, and also from those of you with whom I have regular email conversations. Now, I still know that there were a lot of you who didn’t comment (I got WAY more than 37 hits that day!) but I guess that’s okay. Dan, I’m lookin’ at you. Can’t even comment on your own wife’s blog… geez.
I had quite a crazy day today, spending most of the day in my car. I had 2 meetings with clients and logged over 50 miles on my car. Woo! I arrived at my 2nd meeting a little early (a lunch meeting! LOVE IT.) and since I had my computer with me, I thought I’d see if there were any WiFi spots around- and there were two! Apparently the restaurant had one, so I jumped on and checked my email IN MY CAR. For those of you in the 21st century with your fancy internet-enabled cell phones and iPhones and BlackBerries, that doesn’t sound all that exciting, I know. But I just got a camera phone last March, and I’ve maybe only ever sent like 2 text messages IN MY LIFE, so I’m a bit behind the times. My internet surfing is confined to my computer, so checking my email in my car was definitely a new one for me. I felt so urban and hip. Except for the fact that my laptop shoved at an odd angle in front of me, even after I pushed the seat back and raised the steering wheel. Wasn’t exactly comfortable. BUT I LOOKED COOL DOING IT.
Because of all the driving and running around I did, I am so tired right now. I have about 50 other things I was going to write about… but they will have to saved for another day. Good night! (and yes, I realize it’s only 9:30pm. I am a loser.)
