Kitchen pictures are coming, I promise! I spent most of today priming the 2 new cabinets we had installed, taping off the edges of the countertops and priming the edges of the wall (the new countertops are a bit lower than the old ones, so there are some paint-touchups that need to be done), and of course hemming and hawwing about why the can of paint I got to touch up the cabinets DOESN’T MATCH. I think it’s because, even though I could swear it was like LAST MONTH, in fact I actually bought it in 2005, according to the can lid. Well, whatever. So off to the paint store we go tonight!
Speaking of tonight- I have a date! My mom is watching Maggie for us and we’re going to dinner and some shopping WITHOUT A BABY OR A CARSEAT. We’re going shopping for paint and a new garbage can, and probably some baby food. Do we know how to party or what? I totally shaved my legs for this!
My kitchen looks so good, I can’t believe I’m this excited about it. Like, I might even consider living here a little longer than we planned because it makes such a difference. And we didn’t even do the floor yet!

Isn’t it funny how the definition of a ‘date’ changes once you become a parent? hehe
