Holy fast week, Batman! I can’t believe it’s already the weekend again. This week was a blur of Labor Day parties and picnics, work, Maggie, more work, blah blah blah.

Today I had a bit of a break. Which is funny to me, that I would call it a ‘break’. Dan watched Maggie this morning while I went out and did such extravagant and exciting things like get my teeth cleaned at the dentist and get my oil changed. And no, I’m not kidding. I also went to Costco (along with everyone else in the FREAKING UNIVERSE), BabiesRUs and of course, Target. All of this in the pouring down rain. And yes, that was Mommy’s Big Day Out. My how things are different now!

I also got my period today, which is only blog-worthy because I WAS TWO DAYS LATE. And I am NEVER late. Yes, I was freaking out a bit yesterday, thinking about the possibility of having a 13 month old and a newborn, not to mention being pregnant again. Good Lord, was I ever glad to see my period!

We used to call my cycle ‘Old Faithful’ because it was always so predictable, varying only by +/- 1 day. But for about 6-8 months after having a baby, it varied +/- 3 or 4 days, so I had a few freak-outs too! (One of them even involved a late night trip to a drugstore to buy a pregnancy test.) Over the past few months I started getting closer to being more predictable again, which is good for my nerves. Yay for periods! haha ;)

I blogged it, but my BFF apparently knows my period better than I, because she was all, “Corrie, I got my period and I am always a week behind you.” I swear to you, I almost dropped dead right there.

I got it Thursday, so we can breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Wow, that’s like, a whole day at the spa anymore.
    Target? By yourself?
    Whoa.

Last week, I was wondering when mine would come since Lincoln was five weeks old. As soon as I started questioning it, it came. I forgot how horrible periods were, I’d love to go back to not having one, well, without being pregnant!

LOL. Fun day… I can’t believe YOU got the oil changed though… that’s a man’s task… We already have too much to deal with than to worry about the oil levels in the car for beeps sake!

Don’t worry about your period either - your cycle can be off because of your hormones. You are still early post-partum you know ;)

PS - I didn’t know where to post this. The WYSIWTF is HILARIOUS. I think I’m pretty good at figuring out software - and there was no way in hell I could figure out what I was doing in Frontpage.. lol.
