unending support

During last night’s Prepared Childbirth class, after the instructor showed us a true-to-scale diagram of the stages of dilation from 0 to 10cm:

Dan turns to me, and says just loud enough for the people around us to hear: “Have fun with THAT.”

The dilation LOOKS scary, but you can’t feel anything… I was already 4cm when I got to the hospital, and I wasn’t at all uncomfortable. The contractions didn’t hurt either until after they broke my water (but that was partially because my epidural didn’t work, and partially because Oliver’s head was a bit turned).

I’m sure your labor will go very smoothly and Dan will be an awesome support to you as always. :) Is he going to cut the cord? I can’t wait to see photos of your baby girl and find out what name you picked! It’s getting closer and closer! :)

Oh man, that is too funny. I totally lost it during Lamaze class once, I had to excuse myself from the room because I was laughing so hard, for no apparent reason, other than being pregnant.

You guys are going to have so much fun!

I am with Melissa…I CANNOT wait to hear the baby’s name!!

Have fun at your shower tomorrow. It’s fun to get all those baby things.

What a darling. :P At our childbirth class, they had a demonstration on how the contractions go, by blowing up a balloon and putting a ping pong ball in it, and then having a volunteer (my husband, lol) “milk” the balloon to work the ball out. When it did come out, it went flying. :P
