this is why we love the game

Dear Steelers,
Well, I think the collective blood pressure of the city of Pittsburgh went through the roof this afternoon. Seriously, guys. You can’t keep doing this to us. To me. I can’t take it! Having the shakes from adrenaline for 30 minutes after the game is over… that’s just so not cool.
Going from ‘Yeah we won’ to ‘Oh CRAP!’ and back and forth a few times, jumping up and down and hugging and yelling, then sitting on the couch staring at the tv in disbelief as the other teams runs back a fumble… and all of this happening within 2 minutes of playing time is hard on us. I’m sure it’s hard on you too, of course. Why do you do this to yourselves? And your fans? Now, most of it was out of your control (guys in the black & white stripes who must be blind or stupid… or both, I’m lookin’ at you, you know, that interception you called back? uh-huh.) But really, it’s just too much drama for me.
Next week, just go out and dominate from start to finish in Denver. None of this crazy stuff!
We love you. GO STILLERS!

Jen: My legs felt like jelly for about four hours after the game. My sister Patty was here at the Steelers bar with us and it was almost too much. The beauty salon next to the bar called the fire department/police on us. They came, pretended to do a head count, and ended up watching the game with us! GO STILLERS!!!
