baby bedding

First, thank you to everyone who spoke up about the four choices of baby bedding I posted. Interestingly enough, most of you were thinking right along the same lines I was- my top 2 choices were #1 and #3, even though they are quite different from each other. Great minds think alike! :) A few of you asked about the crib style… we haven’t looked much at cribs yet actually, but I’m pretty sure we’ll go with a natural wood, maybe a little darker. Which I think will look great with any of the bedding, really.

I made a final decision yesterday and ordered the bedding last night. This is what I ordered:

Bedding #3

And believe it or not, I bought it from WalMart! I wasn’t able to see it in person since it’s an online only item, but I’m taking my chances… plus, I didn’t have to stand in the long, annoying lines at WalMart, heh. Number 1 and Number 4 were from Babies-R-Us, and Number 2 was from Target. And all three of those were about twice what the Tulip bedding costs- and I fell in love with the Tulips right away :) I just love how simple it is, and girly, without being frilly. And I’ve already thought of a hundred different ideas for decorating and painting and stuff!

It should arrive tomorrow (I know, fast!) Then I’ll be able to start looking at paint swatches and getting ready to get to work! (with Dan’s and my mom’s help, of course!)

  • Yay! :) (that’s the one I liked best, too) I’m sure the room will be very pretty for your baby girl!

I was such a slacker… we waited until the last minute to buy/do everything. We didn’t even take our birth classes until I was 8 1/2 months pregnant… which I wouldn’t have stressed about as much as I did if I would have known Oliver was going to be 11 days late, the little stinker! :P

Oh dear! I seemed to get the wrong end of the stick there, I was going on about crib designs as well! I am so glad you picked the tulips… she will be a baby with style! I can’t believe it is from Walmart! You know, in the UK, ASDA is part of the “Walmart family” it is like our local one stop shop they sell everything! I am so impressed by the place and it is so cheap! Wow! I went there tonight on my way home and I got asked for ID! It made my day… cheap prices, everything under one roof, stylish, and cashiers with defective eyesight! Yay!

Seriously though, number three was the nicest… can’t wait to see the finished nursery product… but also, can’t wait to see her! Any ideas on names yet?
