WE HAVE A HEARTBEAT!
The little turd was moving around so the doctor only caught it for about 10 seconds or so, but there’s definitely a baby in there.
CRAZY!
There is quite a bit of relief that comes with hearing the heartbeat, obviously. I read way too much, so my brain is always filled with lots of ‘what ifs’ and worst-case ideas. But now we know that everything is okay and we can really start to let it sink in that, DUDE. We’re having a BABY.

it’s got to be so surreal and exciting at the same time to have that confirmation. (= ahh, congratulations!!
YAY!! It’s amazing, isn’t it? :)
I remember the first time we heard Oliver’s heartbeat with the Doppler at the doctor’s office… and now when I check on him while he’s sleeping, I lay my hand on his chest to feel that same little heartbeat. Sometimes it’s still surreal that out of nothing came this beautiful human being.
Just think, pretty soon you’ll FEEL the little turd/turdette moving around, and in 6 more months you’ll be holding him/her!!! :)
Hooray! I agree with Melissa, soon you’ll be able to feel baby turd swimming around in there and kicking at your stomach… now THAT’LL be surreal!
Yay! Just think, by the time you have the ultrasound, you be able to FEEL that turd swim around.
By the by, Turd? Is that for a boy or a girl? :))
