I have become obsessed with the show Gilmore Girls.

I’m not quite sure how it happened, I just know that it did. I oh-so-casually added the Season 1 DVD to my NetFlix queue a few months back, just to see what all of the fuss was about. By the second or third disc, I was hooked.

I love the fast-pace of the show and the dialogue and how it sometimes just cracks me UP. I want to be friends with Lorelei in real life. I wish I had skin like Rory. And Luke? I totally had a dream about him last night. (hey I’m hormonal, sue me!)

But now.. now I will have withdrawal. I finished the last disc of Season 5 today (while fighting another round of nausea, woo!) Season 7 starts next month. Season 6 isn’t released on DVD until September. So I will have to wait SEVERAL WEEKS before I can find out what happens next! (and if you watch the show, you know that the finale of Season 5 is TOTALLY EVIL and leaves you hanging)

I know. My life is horrible isn’t it? It involves me moving between the computer and the couch.

I think I need to go to bed.

Oh Jen, I have totally been there. I had a 24 adddiction when I was pregnant with Aivlene. It was horrible. I could only think about 24. Netflix wasn’t moving fast enough for me so I had to go to the Blockbuster in freaking Wexford to get the final DVD’s. I had to hurry up and finish before I had Aivlene. It is a sick thing.

    I feel your barfing pain.

I have loved the show for several years… I own seasons 1-4 on DVD. I can’t wait for the new season to start!!! :)

I am right there with you, Jen. I watched seasons 1-4 obsessively over the last couple of months. A friend lent me season 5, and it is sitting on my coffee table waiting for me, but I have also discovered Lois & Clark and I love that too! Decisions, decisions.

the finale of season 5 IS evil. and then season 6 is, in my opinion, not so good. but parts of it are worth it. it’s been my favorite show since i caught on in the middle of the first season. my mom has been into it from the start.

people are pretty sure this season will be the last and i can kinda see why. i really hope that it ends well.

hehe, maybe it has something to do with pregnancy hormones, they make you obsess over television shows! I feel like such a loser!! I think because I had all these visions in my head about the work I would be doing right now for my business, but all I can do is lay around and watch tv (except for a few brief moments of productivity here and there)

I am trying to cut myself some slack (hey I AM gestating, which takes a lot of work!) but I hate not being busy or being able to be busy. But I also know I should enjoy it because in 8 months, things will be MUCH MUCH different!

That show annoys me. To me it seems like the actors are rushing through their lines - they never miss a beat. As soon as Rory is done her speal, INJUMPS Lorelei. The concept of the show is good, I just can’t watch it because my brain can’t handle 500 words per minute. Lol.

Fox Family may start playing season six sometime in the near future. I know that last year I was also playing catch up and got to watch some of season five before I got the discs through Netflix.

    Make that ABC family :)

DON’T watch the first episode of season 7 until you watch season 6. Seriously - tape it, save it, and THEN watch it… trust me - you have to watch season 6… of course, it ended with a cliff hanger, and I have a feeling that the first episode is going to be a doosey.

I’m currently obsessed. I check the spoilers page every couple of days to see if they’ve updated what will be happening in upcoming shows, and I tivo all reruns throughout the week to watch Saturday mornings.

I too have had many Luke dreams.

    I think it’s the flannel.

Oh, I would NEVER watch an episode and skip the in betweens, I’m very chronological that way! I’ve started Tivoing reruns on ABC family to watch when there’s nothing else on… I really think I could rewatch the show a million times and still love it.

Yes, definitely the flannel. And HIS EYES. ;)
