I forgot one good story from our Day 1 adventure.

Remember the screw? It’s officially gone.

I went into the bathroom at JFK airport before our flight to take out my contacts and put on my glasses. When I took my glasses out of their case, I noticed the screw was missing. I smiled of course. Then I looked in the case, half-expecting to see it sitting there, waiting for me! But it wasn’t. I looked around the edges of the inside of the suitcase, but nothing. I did a quick scan of the floor, but I hadn’t heard anything drop and the bathroom was deserted so I probably would have heard it.

So, it’s gone. It’s probably at the airport in New York somewhere. Unless I find it at my house somewhere… in which case, I think I should call the news because that would just be freaky!
