going through the motions

You know it’s been a while since you’ve posted in your blog when you can’t even remember what you posted about last and you have to check first.

So yeah. Still busy and insane and COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS until we leave for Italy (just seven to go!) This week was ridiculous, I won’t even go into the boring details about the hell that was work and the freelance clients who want all this crap done before I leave for vacation and driving downtown for training for work Thursday and Friday and that I still haven’t put my laundry away from last week. Thank GOD IT’S FINALLY SATURDAY.

Today I went to a long-time friend’s bridal shower and then came home to do some work on a client’s website (what else?) I took a break around 5 and we made a nice dinner of BBQ chicken on the grill and ate on our deck in the sunshine. I finished up the client work I was doing before dinner, and then I spent about an hour catching up on all of the blogs I’ve missed reading this week. Tomorrow I need to clean my nasty-ass house and then we’re going to my parents’ for a no-reason picnic. Those are the best ones, you know.

We went to visit my cousin last night and see her new baby- just 8 days old! She was too too precious… argh. Only added fuel to the baby fire. I had a fleeting moment or two of doubt and fear with imagining our lives changing so much, but I think I’m ready for it. I’m ready for this phase of my life to be over and I’m ready to move to the next one. I think Dan is ready too.. though he’s just more along for the ride as my uterus and I are ready to go!

Okay, enough rambling. Dan and I are going to watch Six Feet Under on DVD. An extravagant date, no? :)
