cut-n-paste post

It’s been a while since I’ve posted… since I’m feeling lazy, here’s a cut-n-paste post for ya!

TEN random things you might not know about me.
1: I once ate a chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A that fell onto my garage floor. I was hungry and didn’t care. I survived!
2: I had kidney surgery when I was 10. They needed to fix the tube that empties my left kidney because it had blood vessels wrapped around it. All fixed and I’ve been fine since.
3: I don’t know who my biological father is (but my mom does). And that’s okay with me, usually.
4: I have a good singing voice, and I sang the National Anthem several times at small, local sporting events.
5: I had sex before I was married. But just with Dan. :)
6: Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I could do it over- would I change a lot of things? Nothing? Just the big stuff? Or just the small stuff? I don’t usually come up with a final answer.
7: My birthday is April 14. Dan and I had our first date on September 20, 1996.
8: My middle name is Shannon.
9: I don’t really have a favorite color… but I have some color ‘families’ that I like. Mostly warm earthy colors, which is how my house is decorated.
10: I shared a room with my sister for almost 20 years that was smaller than some people’s closets.

EIGHT ways to win my heart
1: Gladly snuggle with the kitties on the couch every night, even though before we got them, you SWORE if they ever touched you, you’d kick them.

3: Admit when you’ve done something stupid.
4: Smile.
5: Confide in me.
6: Take out the garbage.
7: Treat other people as good as you treat me.
8. Be willing to do nothing and still have a good time.

You’ve been to Wallops Island, too? I went there in 11th grade to a Marine Biology Consortium for a week. Most people have never even heard of the place. See, I knew you were cool! :)

OH MY GOSH- that’s why I was there!!!! It was in 10th grade.. so May of 95 I think? We did all kinds of nerdy bio stuff- caught sea creatures on a boat, looked at things under a microscope, and stayed in these Army or Navy barracks (8 girls in a teeny tiny room!) It was a lot of fun though :) That’s so funny you’ve been there too!

Hey I went to Wallops Island too! Jen did we go the same year? Jen Kress, Jane Cyphers, Carl Smith all went?!
I never knew that about your dad not being your biological father but you lucked out on having the dad that you have.
I totally would have eaten the chicken sandwich too if I was hungry…there’s that five second rule you know…well in some cases it can be a fifteen second rule!
