I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas or Hanukkah or whatever it is you may celebrate this time of year. My family, we celebrate Christmas, and it was a great one.

Saturday, Christmas Eve. My parents’ house around noon to watch the Steelers beat the crap out of the Browns, homemade chicken noodle soup, tons of cookies, and lots of presents. My grandpa and his wife came from Ohio for the day, which was nice since we don’t normally get to see them until after Christmas.

Sunday, Christmas day. Woke up, ate breakfast, Dan and I exchanged gifts. Then we went to his grandma’s house to see his family. Hilarity ensued when his cousin’s new boyfriend broke out the pack of fake red-neck teeth. It made for a great family picture. So much food, more presents. Lots of laughs.

Santa was very good to me this year. I have lots of gift cards with which to go shopping, and I also have some new things for the house. Dan also got me a gift certificate for a spa so I can get a massage! woohoo

It’s funny though, now that I’m older, I actually have more fun giving my gifts than getting them. Guess that means I’m getting old.

I am truly blessed this Christmas, and I had a wonderful weekend. Plus today is a day off from work! Friends might be stopping by with their kids, so more presents to give :) I’ll just try to not think about going back to reality (read: work) tomorrow.

Jen: Glad you had such a great Christimas! Your Uncle Brett came down from LA and we had a wonderful time catching up with him. We hadn’t seen him for 30+ years! He is a doll.

I heard that Brett might be visiting you guys- that’s great :) I finally saw him at my sister’s wedding in July, the first time since I was about 14. So that was pretty cool.
