I think it’s time to get back on the horse, or whatever.
I weighed myself yesterday for the first time in months. I knew I had gained a bit of weight (as evidenced by my pants being a little snug) But I didn’t really think it was that bad. Wow. 10 lbs? How the heck did that happen?
Actually, I know how. Too much work, too little time to eat a decent, healthy meal. We end up ordering out, stopping to pick something up on the way home, or heating up a pizza. JUNK, in other words. And of course the exercise has been just not happening at all. I was doing better back in June before my sister’s wedding… but then this new job thing started and super-mega amounts of work started pouring in, and suddenly it’s the end of summer and I weigh 10 pounds more than the spring. DAMN. And this new job is not conducive to activity at all. My old job required a good amount of walking to and from my car each day, and as much as I hated that, it helped keep the blood flowing at least. Now… I sit for 8 hrs. Then I go home and sit at the computer for a few more. Not good for keeping weight off!
So last night, I had a salad (a good one!) Today, I packed my lunch- gotta cut down on the eating out. I even remembered to get some chicken out to thaw for tonight- throw it on the grill, nothing fancy. That’s been most of my problem, is remembering to get stuff OUT for dinner. It’s the end of the work day and I’m like, oh crap- DINNER. What are we going to have? hrm.
I worked way too hard 2 years ago (2 years already?!) to lose that weight. I am NOT letting it all come back. I have cute pants that I can’t wear at the moment- and that is just not cool.
